A graduate of the University of Alberta’s Mechanical Engineering Co-op program, Adam Richardson is the kind of guy who enjoys weighing opinions from different perspectives before coming to his own conclusions. He’ll even admit that he’s likely to “put a funny, weird spin on things” when considering and interpreting different viewpoints.
Adam has a passion for all aspects of projects from conceptualization and development through to execution, commissioning, operations, and maintenance. Before coming to Startec, Adam worked at various engineering companies and owner/operators in areas such as Facility Engineering, Project Management, and as Manager of Major Projects.
He came to Startec to help build the company’s capacity for full-scope engineering, procurement, and fabrication (EPF) projects. His initial plan was to work at Startec for the duration of one or two projects to gain a deeper understanding of the fabrication part of the industry. However, he says that in a short period of time, the people, culture, and opportunities at Startec made it clear that he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Adam loves the projects we get involved with at Startec and plans to keep building our project teams while continuing to grow with the company for many years to come.

Frazer Logan’s friends say that when he starts a project, they won’t see him again until it’s done. It was this tenacity in working towards his goals that allowed Frazer the strength to learn how to walk again, after suffering a motorcycle accident in his mid 20s. After breaking his hip and femur in two places, Frazer began the painstaking road to recovery. But not only did he learn how to walk again, today he runs multiple races throughout the year. One of his races included a Spartan Trifecta Beast Race, where he incurred a rolled ankle that took another eight months to recover from. Frazer always loves a good adventure!
As the Supply Chain Manager at Startec, Frazer defines his success not by his own achievements, but by the whole of his team’s. He works by the motto that he doesn’t need to be the expert in everything, but that one should focus on building a team of experts to support each other. He’s driven to find a better way with his team every day, as conditions in the supply chain market are constantly changing – a fact that makes sure there’s always a new challenge (and adventure) around every corner. Frazer loves coming to work every day to work with a team that he feels supported by.
