A graduate of the University of Alberta’s Mechanical Engineering Co-op program, Adam Richardson is the kind of guy who enjoys weighing opinions from different perspectives before coming to his own conclusions. He’ll even admit that he’s likely to “put a funny, weird spin on things” when considering and interpreting different viewpoints.
Adam has a passion for all aspects of projects from conceptualization and development through to execution, commissioning, operations, and maintenance. Before coming to Startec, Adam worked at various engineering companies and owner/operators in areas such as Facility Engineering, Project Management, and as Manager of Major Projects.
He came to Startec to help build the company’s capacity for full-scope engineering, procurement, and fabrication (EPF) projects. His initial plan was to work at Startec for the duration of one or two projects to gain a deeper understanding of the fabrication part of the industry. However, he says that in a short period of time, the people, culture, and opportunities at Startec made it clear that he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Adam loves the projects we get involved with at Startec and plans to keep building our project teams while continuing to grow with the company for many years to come.
